Is Patrimo really free?
Yes, Patrimo is 100% free, ad-free and with no in-app purchases. No credit card is requested at sign-up. Every feature — dashboard, 40-year forecasts, PDF report, CSV import/export, passkey — is included with no limit.
Is my financial data secure?
Your data is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud), encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Only your account can read it thanks to Firestore Security Rules. Patrimo never sells, pools or exploits your data. Sign-in can be strengthened with a passkey — the private key never leaves your device.
What types of investments can I track?
Seven ready-made categories: savings accounts (high-yield, regulated), brokerage (stocks, ETFs), real estate (primary residence, rentals, REITs), crypto, life insurance, employee savings (401k-equivalents), and "Other" for gold, art or any custom asset. You can set a custom label and emoji icon.
Does Patrimo work on iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes. Patrimo is a Progressive Web App (PWA) installable from Safari in two taps: Share → "Add to Home Screen". The UI is mobile-first, supports automatic dark mode, iPhone notch, and runs on Android, Windows and Linux too. No App Store, no system permissions.
How do the 40-year forecasts work?
Patrimo applies the monthly-compounded interest formula: your current wealth grows according to a weighted annual yield (computed from each investment), plus your monthly contributions. Three scenarios run in parallel — pessimistic, neutral, optimistic — and the estimated date for each milestone (€1k, €10k, €100k, €1M) is displayed.
Can I import my existing data?
Yes. Patrimo accepts a CSV import with columns: name, category, invested capital, current value, estimated annual yield, entry date, notes. A template is available from Settings → Your data. You can export your investments and monthly history as CSV at any time.
Does Patrimo connect to my bank accounts?
No, by design. Bank linking (Open Banking, PSD2, Plaid / Bridge / Tink) means handing your credentials to a third party — something a growing number of users decline. Patrimo favours monthly manual entry: a reminder appears on the day you choose, with a pre-filled form to update values in under a minute.
How do I sign in with Face ID or Touch ID?
After sign-up, open Settings → "Passwordless sign-in" and click "Enable my first passkey". iOS and macOS will automatically suggest iCloud Keychain — your passkey then syncs across all your Apple devices. Next time, click "Sign in with a passkey" and authenticate with a glance or a finger.
Does Patrimo support multiple currencies?
For now, every value is displayed in euros (€) with French formatting. Multi-currency is on the roadmap — the data types are already prepared for that integration.
How do I delete my account and my data?
Open Settings → Account → "Delete my account". The action is immediate and irreversible: your profile, investments, monthly history, goals and passkeys are erased from Firebase with no backup. No manual review by us is required.
